COMMERICIAL INSURANCE PRODUCER-draft

Qualifications:
1. Property & Casualty Insurance
License required, CISR and/or CIC designation a plus.
2. College degree preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 years successful sales
experience, commercial lines production preferred.
4. Minimum of 5-7 years Commercial Agency
experience.
5. Advanced communication and negotiation
skills.
6. High energy, multi-tasker with capability
to work in a fast paced environment, meet
deadlines, and adapt
to change.
7. Professional and courteous with a
track record of delivering a high level of customer
service and customer
retention.
8. Good credit history.
9. Computer proficiency with Microsoft
Word and Excel. Experience with Applied
Management Systems
(AMS) a plus.
10. Ability to use critical thinking
and good decision making.
11. Team player with drive and initiative.
12. Accuracy and detailed oriented
Job Purpose
Summary
The Commercial Lines
Producer finds prospects and closes sales on new and existing commercial
lines accounts and retains commercial lines accounts. The Commercial
Lines Producer achieves sales objectives established in the annual producer
sales plan. In addition, the Commercial Lines Producer participates
in the marketing of the agency's products and services.
Key Responsibility:
Find Prospects and Close Sales
- Achieve objectives established
in annual producer sales plan.
- Prospect for new business
from existing clients and identified target groups.
- Contact prospects for the
purpose of providing a quote and making sales appointments.
- Effectively present information
to prospects and respond to questions and objections.
- Survey prospects to determine
insurance needs, inspecting current insurance policies, risk management
plans, property, products and records.
- Collect detailed risk and
underwriting information including survey data and loss history.
- Develop and deliver formal
proposals of insurance including details of coverages, limits, deductibles
and other pertinent information.
- To adhere to all underwriting
guidelines and submit adequate information to carriers.
Key Responsibility:
Collaborate with Commercial Account Executive to Prepare Insurance Proposals
1. Collect accurate and
detailed information during sales meetings and give the information to
the Commercial Account Executive.
2. Work with Commercial
Account Executive or marketer to complete company submissions
and selection of potential markets.

Consistently Deliver a High Level of Customer Service
1. Listen carefully to
determine the customer's needs and preferences.
2. Introduce Commercial
Account Executive to clients and request that service calls be
directed
to them and forward all service related calls to assigned Commercial
Account Executive.
3. Stay informed of all
claims or service issues and become involved in resolution when required.
4. Participate in renewals,
when appropriate, by reviewing expiration listing with Commercial Account
Executive to determine appropriate action and collection of information
to prepare
renewal submissions.

1. Promote agency and
insurance industry in the community.

1.To complete all applications
and compliance forms accurately and completely.
2. Prepare and submit
production reports in a timely manner.
3. Document customer
information in the AMS.
